Eagles finish up homestand with 5-2 loss to Walsh

University of Southern Indiana Women’s Tennis (3-8) could not find a way past Walsh (Ohio) University (11-4) earlier this afternoon, losing 5-2 at Wesselman Park.

DOUBLES: The Cavaliers came out and swept all three of the doubles matches leaving more to be desired in singles play for the Eagles.

SINGLES: Eagles did have eventually secure two points as a team, the first was thanks to freshman Rachel McCorkle who only allowed her opponent to win three games in her No. 1 straight-sets victory.

Also, Freshman teammate Lauren Rowe was fairly dominant in the No. 2 singles giving away only four games to her opponent en route to a straight-sets victory. Rowe continues to stay hot in singles play moving her individual record to 7-4 on the season.

Up Next: The Eagles will travel to Lebanon, Illinois to face Mckendree April 16 and Springfield, Illinois to take on University of Illinois Springfield for a pair of road GLVC matches.
