EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Men’s Tennis bounced right back into the win column this weekend. The Screaming Eagles earned victories over Brescia University, 5-2, on Saturday and over Georgetown College, 6-1, on Sunday. USI advances to 4-1 on the season while Brescia goes to 3-1 and Georgetown falls to 3-4.

USI vs Brescia:
DOUBLES: It was a clean sweep for the Eagles as they took all three doubles matches to take the point. The number three pairing of junior Yahor Bahdanovich (Belarus) and freshman Quinten Gillespie (Whiteland, IN) won their match in dominating fashion (6-0). The number one doubles pairing of graduate Spencer Blandford (Louisville, KY) and junior Preston Cameron (Floyd Knobs, IN) won their match handily (6-2). USI finished the doubles sweep with a victory form the junior/senior pairing of Lucas Sakamaki (Floyd Knobs, IN) and Marvin Kromer (Germany) in a tough match (6-3).

SINGLES:Â USI started the singles matches in dominating fashion, winning the first three matches, securing the victory for the Eagles. The number two singles Bahdanovich got it going quickly for USI, winning his match in straight set domination (6-1 6-0). Blandford followed in suit winning the number three singles match easily (6-2 6-2). To seal the match for the Eagles, in the number four singles, Sakamaki won his match swiftly (6-0 6-1). Brescia then took the number five and number one singles matches before Cameron finished off a strong day for USI, winning his tough match (6-2 7-5).
