EVANSVILLE, Ind.- The University of Southern Indiana Men’s Diving team traveled to the windy city on Saturday to take on the University of Illinois at Chicago Diving Invitational. The invite was a final tune-up before the Summit League Conference Championships. The University of Chicago, University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, and UIC made up the competition.

Three Meter
The meet brought it’s share of high and lows for the Screaming Eagles. However, the highlight was freshman Nathan Deputy (Evansville, Indiana) recording a school record in the three meter dive event (284.90). Deputy has been on fire in the second half of the season, beating his previous record (271.88). Sophomore Lane Pollock (Boonville, Indiana) had a productive day as well on the three meter, breaking his personal best (247.35).

One Meter
UIC impressed in this event, but the Eagles were led by Pollock in the one meter (227.35). Deputy followed behind at (220.55), along with freshman George Blake (High Point, North Carolina) (206.95).

Team Relays
USI also competed in two team events including a springboard event with Pollock, Deputy, and Blake all getting two dives each that scored together. USI fell short in the event to UIC (267.15-297.50).

The Eagles also competed in a mixed team springboard event (2 women and 1 man). USI took first place in this event with Pollock, freshman Maranda Uttke (Grafton, Wisconsin), sophomore Autumn Turley (Hobart, Indiana).
