Mark Owen, the long time Chairman of the Vanderburgh County Democrat Central Committee has resigned from this position effective immediately. This resignation comes on the heels of the resignation of Democrat Party Vice Chairperson and President of the Evansville City Council Connie Robinson.
It will be most interesting to see how many more Central Committee office holders will be departing and even more interesting to see just who may raise their hand to volunteer to assume these positions that have been increasingly controversial due to being in the middle of things like BoothGate, FloatGate, and MainGateGate which seems to be the straw that broke the Central Committee’s back?
I am supporting Rick Davis to be the new county chairman!

Please will the new Chairman pay the bill from Bauer’s Grove. We should not take advantage of a Evansville business that has performed their side of the contract.
Maybe the former Mayor with his half million dollars of “re-election” money will pay his partys bill to Bauer Grove.

I would say “NO WAY”… However, after what all has taken place in the last year, all I can say is, if it does happen, I will NEVER again donate my time or my money to the Demo Party! Now, I’m wondering if that was why I saw McNeely and Missy together whispering at the Civic Center last week!!
