OBITUARY OF DAVEY LEE WILLIAM JOURDAN
OCTOBER 13, 1929 – OCTOBER 1, 2022
Davey Lee William Jourdan, 92, of Evansville, IN, passed away on October 1, 2022. He was born on October 13, 1929, in Evansville, IN to the late Oscar W. and Marie (Keeton) Jourdan.
Davey worked as a machinist from Bucyrus Erie for 35 years, where he played in the softball and bowling leagues. He was a former member of St. Paul’s UCC on Michigan Street, Perry Township, and Reitz High School bands. Dave enjoyed mowing grass, and horses, visiting with his neighbors, and spending time with his grandkids. He, also, liked St. Louis Cardinals baseball, Chicago Bears football, and Indiana Hoosiers basketball.
Dave is survived by his wife of 72 years, Connie (Duggins) Jourdan; daughter, Lynn Wilson (Mark); son, Greg Jourdan (Debbie); grandchildren, Jill Darke-Schreiber (Mollie), Rusty Jourdan (Stacy), Matt Schreiber (Gina), Kurt Jourdan (Will), Jamie Phillips (Rori); great-grandchildren, Hadlie, Henslie, Ralph, Brock, Braxten, Ava, Jacob, Sully, Seth, Morgan and Austin; great-great-grandchildren, Nolan and Karter.
Family and friends may visit from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 8, 2022, at Alexander North Chapel, 4200 Stringtown Road.
Funeral services will be held on the following Saturday, October 15, 2022, with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Alexander Memorial Park – Cemetery Chapel, 2200 Mesker Park Drive, officiated by Pastor Jeff Long, with burial to follow.
