Cycling Program Offers Pointers for Adult Beginners

July 26, 2011 – Evansville, IN – Do you want to start cycling but don’t know where to begin? On Thursday, July 28th, North Park Branch will host Cycling: A Beginner’s Guide, a program for adults presented by the Evansville Bicycle Club. The program will take place at 6:30 pm in the library’s Meeting Room.

Whether you want to save on gas, get fit, or enjoy a new recreational hobby, Cycling: A Beginner’s Guide will provide you with the knowledge you need to get started. Topics covered will include purchasing your first bike, safety, clothing, and training in preparation for the Great Pumpkin Metric in October.

  1. This would be a great program even for experienced riders. They would then be reminded to not ride in the middle of the street, pull out in front of oncoming traffic and ride through stop signs. As it is posted along bike routes, “Share the Road” and don’t act like you own it.
