EVANSVILLE, Ind.– University of Southern Indiana Men’s Tennis Head Coach Chris Crawford has been named the 2025 Horizon League Men’s Tennis Coach of the Year.

Crawford earned his third career Coach of the Year award – the previous two in the Great Lakes Valley Conference – in his 17th season at the helm of the Screaming Eagles. USI saw a historic third season in Division I, making the Horizon League Conference Championship for the first time since transitioning.

As the all-time winningest men’s tennis coach in USI history, Crawford oversaw a two-and-a-half game conference improvement. USI went to 2-2 in 2025 following a 0-5 2024 Horizon campaign. In April, the Eagles’ duo of junior Axel Sabourin and freshman Jy Hibbert earned the school’s first Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week.

STAY TUNED
The Eagles make their Horizon League Conference Championship debut in the quarterfinals Friday at 2 p.m. CT in Ann Arbor, Michigan, against Youngstown State University.
