INDIANAPOLIS – The Consumer Protection Division (CPD) of the Office of the Indiana Attorney General today kicks off Consumer Protection Week, a five-day effort to promote awareness among Hoosiers of harmful scams and fraudulent practices. The CPD invites Hoosiers to visit the Office of the Indiana Attorney General on Twitter and Facebookthroughout the week and take advantage of important educational opportunities. At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, Deputy Attorneys General from the CPD will participate in three informative Facebook Live videos: “How to Spot a Scam;†“Government Imposter Scams;†and “CPD Overview.†Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill and the CPD encourage feedback from Indiana residents on social media and via other channels, especially during the next five days. Consumer Protection Week is just one of many methods by which the Office of the Indiana Attorney General seeks to safeguard Hoosiers from harmful scams and fraudulent practices.
