Collaborative Detail Leads to Two Arrests and Large Seizure of Dangerous Narcotics

On November 13th the Evansville Police Department Crime Prevention Unit and the Evansville-Vanderburgh County Drug Task Force conducted a joint detail focused on narcotic activity around the 300 block of NW 6th Street. Two arrests resulted from the collaborative detail and a large quantity of dangerous narcotics were seized.

Michael A. Jones, aged 63, was charged with dealing Methamphetamine, Fentanyl, and schedule I, II, III narcotics. This arrest led to 28.7 grams of K2 (Synthetic Cannabinoids), 85.8 grams of Methamphetamine, and 29.2 grams of Fentanyl being removed from the streets of Evansville.

Also arrested was 64-year-old William T. Robinson. Robinson was arrested after a traffic stop was conducted and he was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and a schedule V narcotic.

Both men were booked into the Vanderburgh County Confinement Center.
