Chief Bolin shaves his head as show of support for EPD Detective battling Leukemia

imageEPD Chief Billy Bolin followed through on a promise to have his head shaved at an Evansville school as part of the “Shavin’ for Schroer” fundraiser. He shaved his head after raising $1500 for the Schroer family.
Chief Bolin spoke to the students at West Terrace School about leadership and following your dreams. After sharing his thoughts, he was called to the “hot seat”.
Several students were called up to help shave Chief Bolin’s head. After what can only be described as “several interesting haircut techniques”, Chief Bolin was left with a lot less hair, but a lot of new friends.
While the event was fun for the kids and the Chief, the reason behind it remains in the hearts and minds of the EPD family. As Detective Nathan Schroer continues his battle against Leukemia, we would like to thank everyone who has helped the Schroer famliy.
