 Remember, honor, teach. That is the mission carried out by Wreaths Across America. On National Remembrance Day the organization placed wreaths on the graves of veterans in Evansville. This year marked the 6th anniversary of the event. It was held at Oak Hill Cemetery.
The tradition itself dates back to 1992 when a businessman from Maine laid wreaths on tombstones at Arlington National Cemetery. Wreaths Across America was founded several years later, and it has since become a tradition in many parts of the country.
