We are aware of an incident which occurred today, Sept. 25, during ongoing natural gas maintenance work in Mount Vernon, Ind.
Our crews are on-site, have safely turned off natural gas and are currently assessing the situation. This incident also resulted in the temporary loss of electric service to approximately 1,250 customers, all of which have been safely restored.
The safety of our employees, customers and the community remain our top priority, and we will provide further updates as more information becomes available.
