This Independence Day, many of us will gather with our family and friends to celebrate the founding of our nation, and the rich liberty and blessings we share as Americans.

We have the opportunity to freely gather together thanks to the brave men and women who came before us and built this country. While we celebrate America’s birthday, we should not forget those who laid down their lives for our liberty. I am proud to be an American, and I hope that each of us can reflect on ways we can give back to those who do not have the same liberty and opportunities. Please take a moment to read and reflect on the words of our Declaration of Independence and the sacrifice that was made to let us live in a land that is free.
