University of Southern Indiana Women’s Golf senior Anastasia Carter (Granger, Indiana) will conclude her collegiate career at the NCAA Division II National Championship in Denver, Colorado. The senior qualified as one of the top-three individuals on a non-advancing team going to the NCAA II National Championship Festival in Colorado.
Carter was in the clubhouse after her third-round 74 (+2) as the fourth individual, one stroke away from qualifying. With a triple bogey on her final hole, the University of California-Pennsylvania’s Carla Maestre dropped below Carter allowing the senior to move into third and punch her ticket to the NCAA II Championships. Carter is the first to represent USI women’s golf at the national championships.

Carter improved her score each of the three rounds with scores of 78, 76, and 72 in the final round to finish in 10th-place overall. Junior Allison Koester (Wadesville, Indiana) also finished in the top-20 with opening and closing rounds of 76. Koester finished in a tie for 15th with her three-round total of 235.

Rounding out the scores for USI was senior Molly English who carded a three-round score of 258, good enough for a share of 61st.
