Sources just informed the CCO that the Journey Concert to be held at the Ford Center may have been cancelled. Sources said that they proformed last night at the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. We will keep you posted.
This sucks i won tickets my 11 yaer daughter was so excited to go and now it has been cancelled are my tickets still good
I don’t believe the Ford Center site or Journey’s website have stated that the concert is cancelled at this point, but yes if it is cancelled and they reshedule it your tickets should still be good.
Imagine how great Roberts Stadium would look if we had put $100 million plus into it.
Instead we have a smaller dumber arena. And the level of concert acts has NOT gone up.
It’s gone down.
Journey? Pat Benatar? It’s 2012 not 1982. Where are all of these awesome acts we were supposed to get.
And has nobody noticed that the last time USI played UE in Roberts Stadium there were 9,000 people there? A couple of weeks ago only 6,000 people attended the game.
That was a damning indictment on the new Ford Center. PEOPLE DON’T LIKE IT! A 30% drop in attendance is a horrible indictment on the Ford Center.
What a load of crap! Finally a good concert in Evansville, and it gets cancelled.
I was so disappointed in not only the crowd at the UE/USI game, but also in how USI was treated. It was supposed to be the Community Classic, but it was handled exactly like any other UE home game. The announcer introduced USI like he would any visiting team and then the lights were dimmed and UE was introduced with great fanfare. Both of these teams deserved equal treatment for this game. They should have also introduced Evan Brinkmeyer as “Evansville’s own!!!” It’s great when a local kid plays for one of his hometown teams. Not only that, he is a 4.0 student and Presidential Scholar and deserves all the recognition he can get. Evansville needs more kids like him and I hope he stays around after he graduates.
I’m hearing elsewhere that it was cancelled due to illness. If so, this has nothing to do with Ford Center or with ticket sales. Also, seems like it would be rescheduled?
