Wow. Contract not awarded to lowest bidder.
Evansville Politics at it’s best. . .why would anybody be surprised. . .isn’t the EPD Chief from Henderson. . .wasn’t he a police officer once in Henderson?
On June 14, 2014. . .Mr. Winnecke’s campaign report indicates that Alpha Laser and Imaging donated $10,000. . . .in December of 2014, the City awarded to Alpha a large contract. . . maybe Hamrick needs to open his wallet???
Hamricks had an ex-employee on the public safety board. The ex-employee got a great deal on a vehicle through Hamricks after he left the company and was appointed to safety board. They had 3 city councilmen speak for them during the hearing.
Sounds like sore losers. Politics did not work for them. Now they want to sue.
It is starting to smell bad when the qualified low bidder is rejected. Pogo, how much more is the City spending each year on the high bidder’s contract?
Main, City is not spending on the contract ?
You should be wondering why this City is sending to an outfit south of Henderson all the Diesel repair business. . . Billy-Boy Territory. . . and you question why this city lags in per capita income all over the State of Indiana at $20,400 . . . Well what does Mit Roomey and Santa Lloyd have in common . . .they outsource jobs . . .
Per the minutes of the meeting, Bugby indicated the great deal was on an auto that the owner offed himself inside the vehicle and was not discovered for two weeks. . . just wonder how do you get the smell out of the car??
Goes to show the highest bidder… Oh, excuse me…highest donor…get the contract….old Alpha gets it….
My Dear Pago…..
Bagby indicates that he never was employed by John Hamrick. . .but was employed by his son. . .
Well shucks. And eight days until election time.
Everyone:
We are only seeing an interpretation of one half of the equation, there is definitely more to the story, and also, you are reading an attorney’s interpretation of the events as through the eyes of his client.
This contract does not have any bearing on the taxpayers of Evansville, In….must like giving a license to a cab outfit. . . so the question is simple. . . we all know that towing outfits all employ more or less the same sort of people . . .they all have the same type of equipment, generally and they all tow the vehicle to a location . . . so, the equipment is the same and employee by and large the same . . .so price charged to the paying public should be paramount . . . Tri-State Towering yard is off the beaten path . . .unpaved. . . without adequate inside storage . . .Hamricks in Centrally located 41 and Morgan Ave . . paved . . 20% less in cost to the public . . .ample inside storage . . So, let’s get back to that donor thing . . .
