BREAKING NEWS FROM T V CHANNEL 44-TRUMP WANTS PENCE AS HIS VP
Donald trump has said what most media outlets have been reporting. He wants Indiana Governor Mike Pence to be his Vice President. Trump made the announcement on Twitter. Shortly after that Pence filed papers officially removing his name from the November ballot in the race for Governor. Shortly after that, Lieutenant Governor Eric Holcomb removed his name as a candidate for Lieutenant Governor.
Holcomb says he is interested in running for Governor. Congresswoman Susan Brooks and Congressman Todd Rokita have said the same thing. Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke says he will not seek the office.
Below are several statements officials in Indiana have released concerning Trump’s decision to pick Mike Pence as his running mate.
DAN COATS:
“Governor Pence is a proven leader with both executive and legislative experience. As Indiana’s governor, he has continued our state’s remarkable economic progress and pushed for more effective, efficient government. He’s served in leadership in Congress and understands how the federal government operates. Governor Pence’s communications skills, long history as a conservative leader and Midwestern common-sense will be an asset to the Trump campaign.
“Most importantly, Mike and Karen are people of integrity with hearts for public service. I congratulate both of them on this high honor.â€
LT. GOVERNOR HOLCOMB:
“Donald Trump has selected as his running mate a man of unimpeachable integrity, broad experience and a deep love of this country. Governor Mike Pence’s record of leadership in balancing budgets and supporting a business climate where ingenuity can flourish will be invaluable and needed assets to the country. The governor’s selection also reflects well on the tremendous successes Indiana has achieved over the last 12 years and the Trump/Pence Administration will be great partners as we continue to move Indiana forward.”
Indiana Democratic Party Chairperson John Zody:
“Mike Pence has spent the past three years focused only on his personal ambition. He has embarrassed Hoosiers, signed divisive and discriminatory legislation into law, and alienated the business community –costing our state money in the process. Unfortunately, that qualifies him as a compatible running mate for Donald Trump, who is out only for himself and running one of the most toxic presidential campaigns in history.
“As he crisscrosses the country promoting Donald Trump, Mike Pence will need to account for his failed record as our governor. This includes the discriminatory RFRA that has cost our economy over $60 million, an anti-abortion law with some of the most outrageous restrictions in the country, and a lagging state economy that is underperforming the national average and our closest neighboring states.â€
JOHN GREGG:
“This campaign has always been about Indiana’s future and who is best equipped to clean up the mess Mike Pence made. I look forward to hearing from my opponents if they’ll continue his damaging policies or join me working to correct them. In the meantime, I’ll continue outlining my plans for creating and retaining high-paying jobs, strengthening schools, fixing long neglected infrastructure, combating the state’s drug epidemic and all the other very real challenges facing Hoosiers which have taken a back seat to Mike Pence’s personal ambition and extreme ideologies for so long.â€
Remember the CCO reader poll was 60% favorable on a Trump/Pence ticket. If you are like me and Trump wasn’t your first or second round draft pick, just think who is more likely to appoint Obama to a lifetime term on the Supreme Court. Now its easy, vote Republican. If not for you, then do it for your kids and grand-kids.
Dude, the CCO polls are in no way reflective of the national electorate. You posted this same crap yesterday. You seriously don’t get the difference?
Did you vote for Dubya twice for your kids and grandkids sake Joe or because you’re a debt collector by trade?
No thanks on your offer bro….
