CONNIE ROBINSON WON’T SEEK RE-ELECTION TO EVANSVILLE CITY COUNCIL
JANUARY 18, 2019
AFTER MUCH THOUGHT AND PRAYER, I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO SEEK RE-ELECTION AS EVANSVILLE’S CITY COUNCILWOMAN 4TH WARD. MY FIRST CAMPAIGN WAS BASED ON THE SLOGAN “A NEW BEGINNING†AND OVER THE LAST 2 DECADES MANY THINGS HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED. Â
WHILE SERVING AS YOUR REPRESENTATIVE I HAVE TRULY ENJOYED WORKING FOR THE 4TH WARD AND THE CITY OF EVANSVILLE. I HAVE TRIED TO BE A VOICE FOR THE VOICELESS.  I HAVE NOT ALWAYS TAKEN THE EASY POLITICAL PATH AND AT TIMES HAVE TAKEN POSITIONS SOME HAVE DISAGREED.  WHILE I HAVE WORKED TIRELESSLY FOR THE 4TH WARD IT IS QUITE EVIDENT I LOVE MY COMMUNITY.
I HAVE SERVED WITH 4 MAYORS AND HAVE ENJOYED EACH ONE OF THEM. Â EVANSVILLE IS A GREAT CITY WITH A LOT OF POTENTIAL!!
THE BOOK OF ECCLESIASTES TEACHES US THERE IS A TIME AND A SEASON FOR ALL THINGS. THERE IS A TIME TO START AND A TIME TO END.  THERE IS A TIME TO COME AND A TIME TO GO.  THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME FOR ME TO LEAVE.
I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO SPENDING TIME WITH MY FAMILY.
THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO SERVE.
