Board of Park Commissioners – vote “NO” on 6(b).
Leave Wesselman Park alone. Put the massive pickleball project in some of the vacant land where they tore down Roberts Stadium or the par 3 golf course they closed. This project was rammed through the process and approved without any public forums or Q and A sessions, as was the Skate Park. Ive attended and spoken at many Parks Board meetings. The Board does not answer questions. Its been so unfair. Wesselman Park is a jewel that will be RUINED for a special interest group- Pickleball!
One correction in my comment above:
There were three “input” sessions for the Skate Park in Evansville recently approved. Two at the Newsome Center November 14 2021. 1 pm and 3 pm. Another at Lamasco Skate Park March 31st 5pm.
Again, there were no such meetings specifically for the 24 court Pickleball Project in Wesselman Park
