In 1995, the City Council passed a resolution stated that the Riverboat Revenue would be used solely for the purpose of capital acquisitions, i.e. firetrucks, police cars, etc. etc. etc. and now Butterfly McGinn encouraged by Winnecke has proposed to used Riverboat Revenue for operations ..contrary to the 1995 Resolution ..and they (Winnecke) have been saying time and time again that our City is financial solid ..in a pigs eye!!!

Old Russ Lloyd, Jr. has been playing the shell game stealing from Peter to pay Paul ..oh, he says that it is common for the General Fund to go into the RED but the State Board of Accounts says that out of 12 months 10 are in the RED ..so, what does he do? Well, he take $12.5 from the Riverboat advanced money and places it into the General Fund and then he says it is a loan but can never be paid back!!!

  3. Btw ..the loan of $12.5 mil violated the Separation of Funds ordinance ..so, our dimwitted President of Council simple has the ordinance repealed by the sheep that follows her!!!

    • Where is Josh of Newburgh in all of this? Shouldn’t he step in to stop this sort of thing?

      • My experience with lawyers by and large is their expertise in finance is challenged and of course many believe that they are the smartest in the room ..and Josh is no exception. My question is simple, “where is the lone CPA in this ..have not heard a word out of her and why is it that a lawyer vs. the CPA the finance chairman ..again, I rest my case ..

        • Now, that’s an interesting twist. Is it or is it not correct that Butterfly McGinn was the Zoo Director and was ask to tender his resignation by Mayor Weinzapfel do to the fiasco surrounding the Amazonia (McGinn’s Flower Pot). Ms Acerbert asked many, many times for the maintenance budget concerning the flower pot (prior to construction) and he NEVER came forth with the numbers and now the Pot cost the taxpayers nearly 1 million per year!!!!

          • Although relieved of duty concerning the Zoo his zeal for the Zoo continues ..as they drastically increase the health care cost to Mosby’s employees as she put it ..Butterfly focuses on another cost increasing project ..the Penguin Exhibit ..spends $660k to the designer and you can bet the farm that the designer will be one of Sir Lloyd Winnecke’s campaign donors.

  5. If the GOP holds the Governor’s Office, we can’t look to the SBOA to do anything about the spending hijinks that the Mosby City Council continues to engage in.

    • My experiences with the SBOA in the past has seen their work to be non-political but that is in the past ..they bent to the pressure of the Gov office and failed to disclose the more important aspects outside the main body of the most recent audited financial statement electing to disclose in a supplemental report which most citizens will overlook.

      • In accordance with State Statutes the State Examiner, the head dude at the SBOA can not be fired by the Governor ..only an impeachment process can get rid of him. So, why is it that the Gov office has been so effective in bending the will of the SBOA ..the answer ..if he doesn’t funding for his agency will be affected ..POWER OF THE PURSE!!!

  6. I hope they don’t run those penguins in on us (@ 10 million +) until the state government changes. It seems some oversight from the SBOA is about our only chance to get our finances in order. There is something wrong with the profligate spenders who would blow that money on penguins while jacking up the price of our non-potable water and increasing or inventing fees for services formerly delivered and funded by local government through normal taxing mechanisms. Relax, it’s all covered by Riverboat funds. It’s all covered by Riverb…. It’s all covered by Ri… Well, everybody does it.

    They must have their cheapo hotel, they must churn the streets to placate donor-contractors. They would embarrass most cities. The electorate is ignorant, they can stay in office as long as they please.

    • The best you can find is a right-leaning regional poll that shows a statistical dead heat. Take comfort where you can find it.

      • PRESSANYKEY is in a panic, selling, yelling and barking for sale……bricks of manure as meat loaf.
        It’s total panic, cause all he’s got…is bricks of poop. He dresses it up, shows pictures of old photos of meatloaf, and then serves poop. Press has literally become a cartoon character named “Baghdad Press.”

      • I have often wondered how these polls are taken. Why? More and more individuals opt to have cell phones that are not available and many with land lines with caller ID and answering machines. I personally will not answer any number that I do not recognize and most certainly will not answer the “anonymous” indicator ..as such, I have become skeptical about the accuracy of the polling results.

    • Half way down that page they are ask who would likely win, Clinton by 14.4%!
      PAK hope was on a weird question, give a percentage number between 1-100
      on who would vote for? Either you vote Trump, or Clinton. Which in this case
      shows up halfway down the page.

      Now the “Moscow Times” would have Trump leading in a landslide! Then again
      there is financial ties associated to this. China should be included in this as well!

      • POTUS helped more with one phone call to FEMA than Trump could ever hope to do, even if he cared. Trump did draw attention to the disaster while calling attention to himself. The President is going earlier than he probably should, given the resources his visit will pull away from the rescue efforts.

        • Trump looked like an opportunistic fool unloading a few boxes from the back of the truck with his blue blazer and white dress shirt underneath. Trump makes Obama look Presidential better than any advocate Obama has had in eight years.

          Pressanykey picks up all of his talking points from Breitbart – the advertising company of the White Nationalist Party. Let’s just be clear about that.

          So why expect anything but foolish crap?….he’s got, what about 80 more days of this?
