Indiana University postgraduate swimmer Zach Apple continued to dominate at the 2019 World University Games on Monday in Napoli, Italy.
Apple won his third gold medal of the week, touching first in the Championship Final of the 100 freestyle with a time of 48.01. The Hoosier previously won gold in the 200 freestyle and 4×100 freestyle relay for Team USA earlier in the week.
Ian Finnerty qualified third overall for Tuesday’s Championship Final of the men’s 50 breaststroke with a time of 27.32.
Kennedy Goss continued her great week at the World University Games, as the IU postgraduate swimmer for Team Canada qualified seventh overall for Tuesday’s Championship Final of the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.49.
In the prelims of the men’s 200 backstroke, current Hoosier and Team Brazil swimmer Gabriel Fantoni placed 27th overall with a time of 2:04.23.
