AGRIVATED BATTERY CRIMINAL RECKLESSNESS W/DEADLY WEAPON

Just before 5:30 pm on yesterday’s date (10-6-2020), Officers responded to multiple calls of shots fired in the 3200 block of Sage Blvd. One caller stated that a male victim had been struck by gunfire. Officers arrived a short time after being dispatched and located a male victim in an apartment with an apparent gun shot wound to his left leg. Officers rendered medical aide by applying a tourniquet on the victim’s leg. 

The victim stated that he was inside his apartment with family when he heard knocking on his door. The victim went to check on who was knocking and when he went outside of his apartment he was shot at and struck by gunfire. Rounds from the gunfire had also entered into an adjacent apartment during the incident.  The victim stated that the suspects were unknown to him and described them as a group of people with masks and hoodies. Other witnesses on scene described the suspects as three males with mask and hoodies that may have fled after the shooting in a two-toned read and maroon truck.

Further aide was given to the victim after EFD and AMR arrived on scene. The victim was transported by AMR to a local hospital. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.
