 A CALL TO ACTION BY THE VANDERBURGH COUNTY BOARD OF HEALTH

The Board members of the Vanderburgh County Health Department and our health partners call on our local governmental leaders, business leaders, and the public to immediately act with us to help protect our children, pregnant individuals, and all vulnerable individuals threatened by the rising numbers of COVID-19 infections in our community.  Our regional hospitals and their essential staff are being overwhelmed with patients. 

  • In Vanderburgh County, the lowest vaccination rates are in the younger age ranges:

12-15 years 2.8% 16-19 years 3.8% 20-24 years 5.4% 25-29 years. 5.5%

  • Our local hospitalization numbers for COVID patients are the highest they have ever been.
  • Out of 1,288 Hospital Admissions between August 1-August 22, 2021, 1,271 (98.6%) WERE NOT VACCINATED. 
  • Many young adults and children are testing positive and are being admitted to the hospital, some critically ill.

Please join us to keep our children, pregnant women, and community safer by promoting that:

• Every eligible individual should be vaccinated

• All should mask responsibly, whether vaccinated or not, especially in schools and large gatherings 

• Social distancing and hand washing should be practiced 

We can keep our children and community safer. They depend on us and it is our responsibility to help protect them. The time is now.

  1. I have some questions about the Deaconess numbers:

    1. When someone checks into the hospital for any medical reason, are they asked if they are vaccinated?

    2. If they say they have not been vaccinated, do they have to take a PCR test to see if they have Covid?

    3. If they say they have been vaccinated, do they have to take a PCR test to see if they have Covid?

    4. How many cycles is the PCR test set to run for the unvaccinated person?

    5. How many cycles is the PCR test set to run for the vaccinated person?

    [These questions are meant to determine whether the “vaccinated” and “unvaccinated” are being evaluated exactly the same]

    6. How many unvaccinated Covid positive patients at Deaconess are in the hospital specifically because of Covid symptoms (vs. for some other medical issue, but they also tested positive for Covid)?

    7. How many vaccinated Covid positive patients at Deaconess are in the hospital specifically because of Covid symptoms (vs. for some other medical issue, but they also tested positive for Covid)?

    8. What definition are you using to define “vaccinated” and “unvaccinated”? Is a person who has taken only one shot “vaccinated” or “unvaccinated”? Is a person who took the shot less than 14 days ago “vaccinated” or “unvaccinated”?

    I sent these questions to a Deaconess spokesperson. She did not reply.

    I also wonder why Israel, the most “vaccinated” country per capita in the world, is battling its fourth wave of infection and vaccinated people are getting sick, being hospitalized, and dying. The nearby barely “vaccinated” Palestinian population is doing much better. Odd… And why are 80% of the deaths from Covid in Scotland the “vaccinated.” Given these stats, perhaps you can see why I am skeptical of Deaconess’s claims.

    Those of us who don’t want the shots will not have something forcibly injected into our bodies. Ever. If something bad happens as a result, that’s on us. And if something happens to the human guinea pigs who are part of this massive human gene therapy trial, if they die from it (as 14,506 Americans have thus far) or are injured by it (as 675,591 Americans have been thus far), that is not only on them but also – even more so – on those who misled them.
