    And half of all Americans polled said they’d vote for Mitt Romney over Obama if the election were held today.

    Then again, over half of all Americans polled in 2008 said they thought Obama was a better choice than McCain.

    Maybe they were right.

    Then again, only half of all Americans can name all three branches of the federal government.

    And over twice as many people know Paula Abdul was a judge on American Idol than know that the phrase “government of the people, by the people, for the people” comes from Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.

    I guess more pertinent is that probably not a single American polled regarding the economy is an economist.
