Does the City have any plans at all to repair and reopen Mesker Amphitheater?
Just received the formal reply from the City Administration:
” We recognize Mesker Amphitheater as an asset to the City, and one most of us grew up with, attending concerts in our formative years. We intend to one day preserve this diamond-in-the-rough to pristine condition, perhaps through a public-private joint venture. It remains high on our list, very high. Like the proposed park at Roberts Stadium, we just need to wait until the Ford Center and the Old National Events Plaza are throwing off big profits, and those will be recycled to reenergize Mesker and build Roberts Dog Park. That could be any day now . . . .”.
we lost millions yearly from Jehovah’s conventions-shopping. restaurant-the amphitheatre should be saved for summer enjoyment-give families something inexpensive to enhance family life-they have a difficult time affording the Ford.
I want to complain about the city of Evansville. Every time a college or professional team wins a championship (or loses) the fans go nuts. They smash out windows or set cars and trash cans on fire. Police wear riot gear and make arrests. U of E won a basketball championship. What did our fans do? They went home and celebrate with their families. What a backward city..LOL

, simple gifts”, “the Gael” , “Amazing grace. ” Then Highland Cathedral . march out to the tap of “Going home” with the pipes then quick march call from the pipe Major and “Scotland the brave” down too the parking lot. The Easter sunrise set outside. on a hill, under the spring buds of a massive black oak millennia tree. absolutely nice. And for that small towns place of worship . Free. and just as much rewarding. This is what the dawning of spring is … new life.
Today we celebrate Jesus rising from the tomb, just as He said He would! He remained among us for the next 40 days, meeting with many disciples. Paul wrote that over 500 saw Him at one time, many who were still living at Paul’s writing.
In 40 days we will celebrate the Ascension of Jesus back to the Throne of the Father.
I would like to know the status of the Johnson Controls meter installs. Bloggers, give a rough approximation of your location, and tell whether your ‘smart meter’ has been installed.
My location: Boonville New Harmony Road, near US 41 to the West. Meter has NOT been installed here, or at my neighbors.
I live down town. I got a card from them two months ago but no one has shown up.

OK who thinks Wisconsin can beat Duke in tomorrows Final Four Championship game? Duke handed Michigan State their exit ticket handedly so I’m a little fearful that maybe I have underestimated the Duke Blue Devils.
Then again Wisconsin played neck and neck with KY the last two years so they have some great talent on their squad.
I’ll be rooting for the Big Ten team to win. Doesn’t everyone dislike Duke and their coach?
Move, I’m happy with either one winning because Wis. has a good coach and players. Since the mid-eighties i have been a Duke fan. Great successful coach and good team players. Duke is known as America’s college team therefore people resent their success.
Really terrible calls against both Big 10 teams, looked like the fix was in for a KY-Duke final. 2 fouls in 15 seconds against MSU Dawson on clean block and steal. Refs waived off a flagrant 1 against KYs Lyle for a forearm to face and didn’t even call a foul. Classy move by KY Harrison twins for not shaking hands with WIS players and then the open mike insult to Kaminsky. Stay classy KY.
