What Will 2026 Be For You? by Jerome Stewart
2025 is now gone forever. A brand New Year is here. Some people will be thinking about what they want to accomplish or see happen in 2026. Here’s a suggestion: For 2026; learn to place all of your trust in the living God. He will not let you down. Numbers 23 vs. 19 says; “God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man that He should repent. Has He said and will He not do? Or has He spoken and will He not make it good?
Here’s another suggestion: Get to know Jesus by taking Him at His word. It will require spending time in the study of God’s word as well as prayer and meditation. Mankind has been given free will, which means we get to make our own choices in life. The greatest gift God bestowed upon mankind was when He sent Jesus into the world, whose birth we just celebrated, for the sins of all mankind.
No one has ever been forced to place their trust in the LORD, nor accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. It’s all voluntary. Yet there are blessings for those willing to follow the word of God which is where the salvation of Jesus Christ can be found. God’s word is our moral compass for righteous living. He is the exact same God today.
Moses said to the Israelites at that time in Deuteronomy chapter 30 vss. 9 and 10; “The LORD your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the LORD will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers, if you obey the voice of the LORD your God, to keep His commandments and His statues which are written in the Book of the Law, and if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.”
The key words mentioned were “obey the voice of the LORD and keep His commandments.”
Vss. 11 and 12 Moses says to the people; “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off. It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear and do it.” Vs. 14 says; “But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may do it.”
In the New Testament the Law of Christ must be followed and obeyed to the fullest extent possible. Listen to the words of Jesus in John 10 vss. 27 and 28. His words are plain and simple yet powerful! Jesus says; “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give then eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”
Happy New Year!
