| Indianapolis – Indiana Grown announced the winner of Indiana’s Ultimate Farmers Market Challenge as Franklin Farmers Market in Franklin, Ind.
This was the third year for this contest and was a chance for customers across the state to vote for their favorite hometown farmers market to encourage local engagement and statewide recognition. Franklin Farmers Market received over 1,500 votes! Total, there were over 5,000 votes cast during the 2-week voting period.
Indiana Grown Director Caroline Patrick is excited for the Franklin community.
“Franklin Farmers Market is a wonderful market and this recognition is well deserved,” said Patrick. “Farmers markets are an integral part of Indiana communities’ economies. We were thrilled to have so many great nominations for farmers markets and it is great to see consumers supporting them.”
Franklin Farmers Market is a Saturday market operated from May through September, 8 a.m. to Noon. This market features over 90 vendors, live music and monthly themed days. The market is located at 161 W. Monroe St., Franklin, IN 46131. You can learn more about this special market here.
