Romans chapter 1 vs. 16 the Apostle Paul says; “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” So today have we become ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ? John chapter 3 vs. 17 Jesus says; “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.” Jesus became the sacrificial Lamb for the sins of all mankind.
Today many professed Christians have fallen away from obedience to the gospel of Jesus Christ. For those who have fallen away the bible says in Hebrews 10 vss. 26 and 27; “For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries.” This country used to be referred to as a Christian nation. There has been a turn away from following the wisdom of God. We need to turn back to Him. The Apostle Peter made reference to those who were false teachers. 2nd. Peter chapter 2 vss. 18 thru 22 he says; “For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lust of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. For if, they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered to them. But it has happened to them according to the true proverb: “A dog returns to his own vomit,” and, “a sow, having washed, to her wallowing in the mire.” Proverbs 26 vss. 10 and 11 says; “The great God, who formed everything Gives the fool his hire and the transgressor his wages. As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly.” The question is this: Are you a fool?
