INDIANAPOLIS (May 12, 2025) – The Office of Lt. Governor Micah Beckwith and the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs today announced the Indiana Main Street team will host three in-person Main Street 101 trainings across the state. Attendance at a Main Street 101 is required to apply for OCRA’s Downtown Affiliate Network in the 2025-2026 application cycle.
“It’s one thing to have incredible programs like Indiana Main Street, but if people don’t understand how to tap into them, they miss out on all the benefits these programs offer,” Lieutenant Governor Beckwith said. “That’s why these training sessions are so important. They give communities the tools they need to succeed and help them make the most of opportunities through our Main Street program.” The training provides in-depth details on the Indiana Main Street program and the Main Street America Four-Point Approach. During the training, attendees will learn about the Indiana Main Street program as well as application information for prospective communities. “Our Main Street communities are vital to local economic development and sense of place,” OCRA Executive Director Fred Glynn said. “I encourage any organization committed to community-driven downtown revitalization to sign up for a Main Street 101.” The training dates and locations include:
