EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Due to inclement weather this evening, the University of Evansville baseball team has postponed its game against Indiana.
With thunderstorms projected for most of this evening, the Purple Aces will play Indiana in a home contest on Wednesday, April 30. Wednesday’s game has been pushed back an hour to a 6 p.m. CT first pitch to avoid projected rain showers on Wednesday as well.
In the first meeting of the year between UE and the Hoosiers, IU came out on top in a 7-4 midweek battle back on March 18. Evansville kept things close in the first game but wasn’t able to come back from an early 2-0 deficit that began in the third inning. The Aces will come close to evening the series with Indiana at home with a win on Wednesday night, as IU currently holds a 14-12 advantage in Evansville.
