I think “Have a thoughtful Memorial Day” might be more appropriate. I have long thought that this might be a good day to set aside for contemplating just exactly what war does to a nation and its individual citizens. I lost good friends in Viet Nam. Some died there, but many others came home empty shells of the people they had been, maimed mentally and/or physically. That is mild compared to today’s veterans.
