Preparing for the Legislative Session

Preparing for Session
I recently received my committee assignments for the 124th Indiana General Assembly.

Why it matters: Committees are the first stop for a bill during the legislative process. In committees, members of the public, industry experts and lawmakers all have the opportunity to properly discuss and thoroughly examine public policy proposals before they move to the full Senate for further consideration.

During the upcoming session, I will serve on the following Senate committees.

  • Health and Provider Services
  • Local Government
  • Public Policy

Committee hearings can be viewed online by visiting iga.in.gov. Legislative calendars, agendas, vote tallies and proposed legislation can also be found on this site.

As always, I welcome your thoughts and opinions on issues facing our community and state. Please feel free to contact me using this form or by calling my office at 317-232-9400.
