We are very excited to have you all out this week for this historic football game. A few notes for you:
– Thursday afternoon will be the grand reveal of the football field as the lining of the field takes place tomorrow. We will open the stadium to the public at 4 p.m. and the gates will remain open until 6 p.m. when we will transition the event to the paid attendees event in the CF picnic area.
– Thursday night’s special event will feature a coach talk, with both Memorial Head Coach John Hurley and Castle Head Coach Doug Hurt speaking to attendees of our VIP event at 6:30 p.m. The actual coach talk will get started between 7-7:15 p.m., depending on how long the food line takes. If you would like to attend this event for coverage purposes, please let me know ASAP so we have an idea of how many to expect.
– For Friday, the gates will open at 5:30 p.m. and kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. We ask that all media personnel on Friday use the ‘Ballplayer Parking’ spots along Morgan Ave. on the south side of the ballpark. This is shown on our map with Game Officials and Otters Front Office Members. In this zone, we will have reserved spots for the game’s referees, so if a spot is marked for them, please do not park there. If this row is full, feel free to park in the grass in front of the ballpark as many of you do for Otters games. Please see the attached parking map and feel free to distribute this on your own social channels to help attendees.
