On Tuesday, September 10, the University will transport all freshmen enrolled in the UNIV101 course to New Harmony, Indiana, for an exciting day of interactive activities, engaged learning and a variety of games and spirit activities. This will be the third year for the Engaged Learning Day. This educational excursion is generously supported by the USI Foundation and the Provost’s Office.

The USI College of Liberal Arts will host its first Faculty Colloquia presentation of the Fall Semester from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 12 in Rice Library Room 0017, located in the lower level of the Rice Library. The event is open to the public at no charge.

USI to host Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra’s 90th Season Preview Concert
The University will host the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra for its 90th season preview concert at 5 p.m. Thursday, September 12 in the USI Performance Center. The concert is open to the campus community and public at no charge.

The Strengthening the Healthcare Team Conference is returning to the University on Friday, September 13 in the University Center on campus.

USI Spanish Film Club Series to begin September 26
The USI College of Liberal Arts and World Languages and Cultures Department will host the Spanish Film Club series during the Fall Semester on Thursdays beginning September 26 through October 24. All films will be shown with English subtitles and will begin at 7 p.m. in the Wright Administration Building, Room WA1. Showings are open to the public at no charge.

USI Romain College of Business to provide students with neuromarketing technology experience
This Fall, the USI Romain College of Business will introduce students to one of the newest market-leading skills—neuromarketing. USI has partnered with iMotions, an IT company specializing in human research software, to utilize a platform called EduLabs to ensure business students have access to state-of-the-art technology that can be utilized both in and beyond the classroom.
