The USI College of Liberal Arts will host its first Faculty Colloquia presentation of the Fall Semester from 1:30-2:30 p.m. Thursday, September 12 in Rice Library Room 0017, located in the lower level of the Rice Library. The event is open to the public at no charge.

USI expanded Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center now open

The University debuted a $16 million expansion of its Recreation, Fitness and Wellness Center (RFWC) on Tuesday, August 27, hosting a ribbon cutting and open house, featuring remarks from Steve Bridges, Interim President; Christine Waterman, USI Deaconess Clinic Clinical Practice Manager, Dr. Robin Sanabria, Director of Counseling and Psychological Services; and Sam Preston, Director of Public Safety.

USI Disc Golf Course undergoes updates

In 2003, when the first disc golf baskets appeared on campus, Ruth Waller, then Director of Intramural Sports, laid the groundwork for what would become a campus staple. Two decades later, Joe Gratz, Assistant Director of Intramurals, and others have kept her legacy alive, making essential updates to keep the course fresh and challenging.
