CITY-COUNTY OBSERVER HONORS VANDERBURGH COUNTY CIRCUIT COURT JUDGE DAVID KIELY WITH A “COMMUNITY SERVICE” AWARD

Johnny Kincaid announces that Vanderburgh County Circuit Court Judge was just seclected as a 2024 “Community Service Award” winner by the City-County Observer..

judge David D. Kiely will not be running for re-election in the Vanderburgh Circuit Court. After 26 years on the bench as a judicial officer, Kiely will be retiring on December 31, 2024.

Kiely spent 11 years as the Vanderburgh Circuit Court Judge.

Kiely spent 4 years as a Vanderburgh Superior Court Judge.

Kiely spent 11 years as a Vanderburgh Circuit Court magistrate.

Judge Kiely had many accomplishments:

Created the first Veterans Treatment Court in the State of Indiana. 

Acquired two magistrate positions from the state legislature for Vanderburgh County.

He spearheaded and created an electronic search warrant in Vanderburgh County.

Created the Vanderburgh County Therapeutic Work Release Program. It brought $5.5 million of court space renovations to Vanderburgh County. 

He was awarded the James Bethel Gresham Freedom Award from the Evansville Bar. Association. 

The Award Luncheon will be held at Bally” Evansville on September 20th.  The event is sold out.
