Evansville, IN – Shawn McCoy, CEO of Deaconess Health Systems, was honored with the Benefactor of the Year award by Ivy Tech Community College during its May 10 Commencement Ceremony.
McCoy joined Deaconess in 1991 as a management engineer followed by various other leadership and administrative positions. He was appointed chief executive officer on July 1, 2017. Through his leadership, Deaconess gave the lead gift in the Invest-IN-Indiana Capital Campaign which has enabled Ivy Tech to expand its Nursing Program, create a new lab on campus, and design an innovative shared faculty program. McCoy has been a member of the Campus Board of Trustees for eight years.
