  1. An executive session will be held prior to the open session.
  1. The executive session is closed as provided by:
  1. I.C. 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(5): To receive information about and interview prospective employees.
  2. I.C. 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(6)(A): With respect to any individual over whom the governing body has jurisdiction to receive information concerning the individual’s alleged misconduct.
  3. I.C. 5-14-1.5-6.1(b)(9): To discuss a job performance evaluation of individual employees.  This subdivision does not apply to a discussion of the salary, compensation, or benefits of employees during a budget process.

    1. 24-PDO-03 – Officer Michael Dockery – Badge Number 1473 – 21 Day Suspension Without Pay (Not Appealed) – Tabled until June 5th, 2024
  1. NEW DISCIPLINE:
    1. 24-PDO-04 – Officer John Forston – Badge Number 1451 – 5 Day Suspension Without Pay (Not Appealed)
  1. PROMOTIONAL PROCESS:
    1. Certify the 2024 Corporal Promotional List to be effective from June 10th, 2024, to June 9th, 2026. 
  1. SWORN AWARDS/COMMENDATIONS: 
    1. Review Letter of Commendation recommendation for Officer Ahmed Afifi for actions taken on March 3rd, 2024.
  1. RETIREMENTS:
    1. Sergeant Jeffrey Owen Wilson, Badge Number 5150, retiring effective May 28th, 2024, after serving twenty-eight years, eight months, and seventeen days with the Evansville Police Department.
  1. REMINDERS:  
    1. The next scheduled meeting is June 5th, 2024, at 4:15pm.
