EVANSVILLE, IN – April 15, 2024 – The storm debris disposal site at Burdette Park, established in response to the recent storm damage in Vanderburgh County, will close effective today, April 15, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. CST. The site will no longer accept any materials, and residents are encouraged to explore alternative disposal options for any remaining storm debris.
Bids for the cleanup and disposal of the storm debris will be initiated at the Board of Commissioners’ next regularly scheduled meeting on April 23, 2024.
The Commissioners wish to extend their appreciation to all residents for their participation and patience
throughout the cleanup process. Additionally, the Commissioners wish to express their gratitude to the Vanderburgh County Highway Department for their tireless efforts in swiftly clearing and restoring the drivability of the roads as well as their collaboration with Burdette Park staff in managing the debris.
