In an age of artificial intelligence (AI), voters have a right to know what is real and what is not while watching campaign advertisements. House Bill 1133 would increase transparency for voters by requiring campaigns to label advertisements if they include fake images, audio or video made with AI.
Hoosiers should feel confident that they are receiving accurate information about those running for office. This is why, as your state senator, I am pleased to support this legislation and other measures ensuring integrity in elections for Indiana.
The 2024 primary and general elections are quickly approaching. Eligible Hoosiers must register to vote before April 8.Â
