CenterPoint Energy has filed a request with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission (IURC) to increase the monthly electric rates for residential customers.
Written by Johnny Kincaid
The IURC will hold a public hearing regarding CenterPoint’s proposal this Thursday to allow customers to voice their support or opposition to the proposed rate increase. Customers can attend sessions at 2 pm or 6 pm CT.
The proposed rate hike would result in a typical residential customer paying an additional $28 per month by 2026. The increase would be implemented gradually, with $10 in late 2024, $6 in 2025, and $12 in 2026.
WHEN:Â Thursday, February 29 at 2 pm or 6 pm CT
WHERE:Â Old National Events Plaza in the Locust Room.
715 Locust St, Evansville, IN 47708
Is the IURC bought & paid for ?
Lobbyist = Bribery , perhaps ?
I am including a link that lists CP request for an increase in monthly electrical cost/customer by almost $48/month by 2026. I am confused as your article notes a projected increase of $28/month by 2026. Which is it? Thanks
