MAYORAL CANDIDATE NATALIE RASCHER CITES HER VISION FOR EVANSVILLE

8

As an Evansville native, I have experienced times of growth, opportunity, and challenging periods for our city. Through both the ups and downs, I have proudly served our community through governmental appointments, serving on nonprofit boards, and as a business leader.

I know it takes principled leaders, not politicians, to provide a safer and stronger Evansville. I’m running for mayor because Evansville is ready to embrace the ideas and innovation of the next generation of leaders. Our residents deserve elected officials who believe in listening first, finding common ground, and ultimately value building relationships across all cross sections of our community knowing they will be the key to our continued success.

As mayor of Evansville, I will focus on being a champion for all our neighborhoods by improving public safety, infrastructure and quality of life while expanding economic development and focusing on talent retention. On my website, www.rascherformayor.com you can find the Rascher Playbook for Evansville where I have outlined in detail how my administration will work on these five areas.

Public Safety

As mayor, I will work tirelessly to strengthen the relationship between public safety officers and our community while prioritizing an increase in funding for training and equipment. Together, we can build a safer, stronger community for all of us to enjoy.

Transportation & Infrastructure

Infrastructure is the backbone of any successful community, and it’s crucial that we prioritize it to ensure our continued growth and prosperity. We need safe, reliable transportation and infrastructure to support the flow of goods and people throughout our region.

Quality of Life

Overall, my vision for our city is one that is vibrant, healthy, and connected. I believe that by investing in our parks and recreation department, we can create a brighter future for all residents of our great city.

Economic Development

I am committed to fostering economic growth and development in our city and region by establishing strong partnerships to leverage the expertise, resources, and networks of the private sector in creating a thriving business environment in our city.

Talent Retention

Promoting talent retention in our community is paramount for our continued economic growth and success. As a business executive, I understand the value of keeping our best and brightest residents here, rather than losing them to other cities.

Because of my leadership qualities, private industry experience, and vision for our city’s future, I have earned many endorsements throughout my campaign. While this list continues to grow, below are a few noteworthy organizations and individuals that are supporting my run for mayor.

  • Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 73, Evansville

  1. I see nothing in your resume to qualify you to be mayor. The current administration has picked you to be their puppet. After they have plunged this city into 1 Billion dollars of bond debt, I would never vote you or support anything endorsed by this current administration.

  2. What an absolute joke! Is this little girl serious?
The debates will be interesting as Daugherty and Terry will shine will this girl will flounder!

  3. Where do you STAND on Education? And where do you Stand with the Trans community using our daughters rest rooms and dressing rooms? What number are we in the 50 States as far as Education is concerned? What about bringing back classes like Industrial Arts,Homeck classes and bringing back cursive writing?? Kids look at cursive writing like it’s Chinese and it needs to be taught!! Where do you Stand with the Teachers Union, since THEIR take over, children are getting further behind, and that HAS TO CHANGE!!

    • How exactly does the office of mayor have any influence over what you describe? I agree with you on everything, but your concern should be aimed at the school board and their appeasement attitude to the teachers union.

  4. Why does Ms. Rascher’s platform blurb (aka “vision”) continue to be placed at the top of this webpage for high visibility, while those for Ms. Terry and Mr. Daugherty have already been relegated to the General News section, 2nd from the bottom of the CCO site? Such placement carries the strong odor of favoritism/bias and will continue to do so until all 3 candidates’ articles are placed side by side along the same screen. C’mon, CCO, you can do better than this!

  5. Note that today, Ms Terry’s platform blurb was elevated from the depths of the General News section to the top Community News section, yet Mr. Daugherty’s platform blurb remains buried in the General News section. Is this the way CCO runs their trumpeted “unbiased” reporting?? There’s plenty of obsolete Community News articles that can be replaced by Michael Daugherty’s article in order to achieve parity with those of the other two Mayoral candidates.
