Pink-Inspiration-poster-web smallAn exciting Floral Exhibition by Joanne Scott Massey will open on Saturday April 5, with a public reception from 1-4 p.m. in the Riverwind Gallery at 10400 W. Indiana 662 in Newburgh.

Joanne is a realist painter from Evansville who has become known for illuminating the delicate details in her lush florals. Her art has been said to have a meditative and reflective effect on the viewer. Many of her signature floral paintings are featured in the permanent collection of Deaconess Gateway Hospital on the 4th and 5th floors. More of her work is in the downtown Deaconess hospital and at the Communities of Solarbron. Joanne’s art is also in many private collections.

A large 30” x 40” acrylic painting titled “Pink Inspiration” painted by Joanne, is being donated by John M. Lawrence of Newburgh to benefit the Susan G. Komen, Evansville Tri-State Affiliate. An auction of “Pink Inspiration” will take place at the reception on Saturday April 5, 1-4 p.m. The opening bid will start at $1,800.00 and the proceeds will be donated by Mr. Lawrence to Komen Evansville Tri-State. Early bidding begins on April 1 at 9:00 a.m. The bidding will end on Saturday April 5 at 4:00 p.m. You can bid by phone at Riverwind Gallery (812) 853-2537 or in person. The actual painting “Pink Inspiration” can be seen in person at Riverwind Gallery.

In addition to the painting, 50 limited edition, numbered and artist signed 16” x 20” prints of the “Pink Inspiration” will be available for purchase for $100.00 each as well as note cards, with the proceeds to benefit Komen Evansville Tri-State. Also, a framed print of “Pink Inspiration” valued at $350.00 (framing and matting donated by Riverwind Gallery) will be given as a door prize during the opening reception Saturday April 5. The exhibition will end Thursday May 15.
