Evansville Police arrested 52 year old Anthony Mayes on meth related charges after he was caught with a one pot meth lab.
A patrol officer was in the 100 block of E Maryland around 2:00am Monday morning when he smelled a strong chemical odor. Other officers responded to the area and located the source in an out building behind 114 E. Maryland. Officers found Mayes in the building with an active one pot meth lab.
Mayes was taken into custody and charged with Manufacturing Meth-Class A Felony and Dealing Meth- Class D Felony.
