Working To Fight Food Insecurity

1
Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is a great opportunity to learn more about resources in our community-fighting food insecurity, and ways to volunteer and donate to groups like Feed Evansville.
Feed Evansville, created at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, is working to provide more access to quality food, and help pantries find volunteers, secure donations and advocate for families in need.

To learn more, donate or connect with Feed Evansville, click here, email feedevv@gmail.com or visit the organization’s social media page. The Tri-State Food Bank is also dedicated to providing food and nutrition to families and children through a network of local charities and organizations feeding the hungry. Hoosiers can also find nearby food pantries and meal sites by reaching out to Indiana 211 online at in211.org, or by calling 2-1-1 or 866-211-9966 to speak with a community navigator.

Thank you to all of the volunteers and advocates working to feed Evansville’s hungry and end food insecurity in our communities.

  1. Need to connect with Senior citizens and citizens that don’t use social media or computers .
I always see on the news of a food give away after the fact .
Also some citizens cannot drive or get rides to a food give away.
