“JACOB BALL WISH FUND” IS WORTHY OF YOUR SUPPORT

OCTOBER 11, 2022

Jacob Andrew Schriber Ball loved sitting at the base of the piano in Mr. Bailey’s music class so he could not only hear the music but feel it; he was mesmerized sitting under the parachute in Ms. Stafford’s class, giggling as the brilliant colors gently floated above him; and he clapped vigorously as he bounced on the mini trampoline in Ms. Lewis’ classroom. Sensory stimulation helps increase levels of concentration, and the ability to focus, and can improve mood, self-esteem, and overall well-being.

In the last three years, the Jacob Ball Wish Fund has sponsored sensory areas in 34 classrooms.  This year, we have had four requests for sensory areas thus far, and we are thrilled that the sensory area at Bosse High School will be called “Jacob’s Place”!

Additional wishes from the 2021-22 school year included enhancement software for basal reading programs, communication equipment, training for mental health issues in the classroom, groceries for life skills food preparation classes; curriculum and skill-based equipment and life-skill activities have enhanced the lives of hundreds of those with special needs. All these wishes are made available through your generosity.

To support these wide-ranging wishes, an annual Broadway-style musical is mounted by the Friends of Jacob. All services are volunteered and there is no admission charge. We are pleased to announce our 2022 production, The Secret Garden, will be presented Wednesday, October 19, and Thursday, October 20, at 7:30 p.m. at the AIS Performing Arts Center, the corner of Stringtown and Diamond.  This enchanting, Tony Award-winning musical based on Frances Hodgson Burnett’s 1911 novel is a compelling tale of forgiveness and renewal.

The intent of this letter is to ask for your support in underwriting The Secret Garden. In this indeterminate time, our special friends have greater needs than ever. Your gracious giving will warrant more monies to fund wishes.

Thank you for your kind consideration. Please make your checks payable to JBWF].
