ITS TIME TO CAST YOUR VOTE AGAINST GOVERNMENT WASTE

0

Far too many public officials buried their heads in the sand in 2021 and ignored the dire financial threat posed by our nation’s $29 trillion debt. Even worse, many in Washington continue to propose trillions of dollars in federal spending programs that would move the country closer to socialism and unnecessarily increase America’s mounting and unsustainable indebtedness.

We want to know who you think truly stood out as the worst custodian of your hard-earned tax dollars this year. It is time to cast your vote for Citizens Against Government Waste’s (CAGW) 2021 Porker of the Year!

Chosen by CAGW staff from the 2021 Porkers of the Month, the nominees who showed the most blatant disregard for the interests of taxpayers are:

House Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) and Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.), for bringing back corrupt, costly, and inequitable congressional earmarks.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), for saying that “paid leave, child care and caregiving” are all “infrastructure.”

Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), for proposing a taxpayer-funded Civilian Climate Corps that would hire millions of people and cost billions of dollars.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.), for endangering America’s financial stability with their massive spending plan.

Rep. Mike Turner (R-Ohio), for leading the push to add more money in earmarks for the troubled F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, for demanding that the IRS be allowed to investigate every detail of how average Americans are spending their money.

Ronald, cast your vote by 11:59 p.m. EST on Wednesday, December 29, to help determine who receives the “dishonor” of being named CAGW’s 2021 Porker of the Year!

We will announce the winner of our online poll in early January.

Sincerely,

Paul Sullivan, Director of Membership

P.S. Help us get as many Americans as possible to take part in our poll. Forward this message to your friends, neighbors, and colleagues!
