VenuWorks of Evansville, the firm that manages Ford Center & Victory Theatre, surprised Sharon Williams as she was the one millionth customer to walk into Ford Center at tonight’s IceMen Hockey game. The facility opened its doors just two years ago in November of 2011 and now has entertained over One Million people. According to Executive Director Scott Schoenike, “It was an ideal night with flashing lights, confetti, sirens, music and excitement as we recognized the one millionth customer.†Schoenike went on to say Sharon was awarded a large Ford Center commemorative ticket, a customized Ford Center photo chair, 4 free tickets to any event each month for a year at Ford Center, provided by VenuWorks, 4 free tickets to an IceMen regular season home game each month for 2013-2014 season, provided by Evansville IceMen, 4 free tickets to a Men’s Purple Aces regular season home game each month for 2013-2014 season, provided by University of Evansville, one dozen free Just Rennie’s cookies and a $100.00 gift certificate, provided by Just Rennie’s.
Schoenike also stated that the economic impact for Evansville has been calculated to exceed 82 million dollars over the first two years. Ford Center continues to play a vital role in increasing the quality of life and it’s as important to VenuWorks mission as Evansville’s economic impact.
