Around 4:45 a.m. this morning, Evansville Police Officers were dispatched for an ATM alarm at United Fidelity Bank (4801 W Lloyd Expressway). Around the same time, the Vanderburgh County Sheriff’s Department received a BOL (be on the lookout) for a truck dragging something behind it.Â
Officers arrived and found a destroyed ATM and all the money cassettes were taken from it. The pick-up truck from the BOL was found a short distance from the scene by deputies with the chains still on it. Officers and deputies set up a perimeter while K9 tracked. At this time, no suspects have been located.Â
The truck owner was contacted at his home and he advised that his truck was stolen. Crime scene and detectives were called to the scene to investigate further.Â
Anyone with who might have knowledge of this incident is asked to contact the Evansville Police Department’s Detective Office at 812-436-7979 or the WeTip Line at 1-800-78-CRIME.Â
