Special Announcement From GOP Chairman
Today I advised the Vanderburgh County Republican Central Committee that I would not be a candidate for Republican Party Chairman at the March 6, 2021 Reorganization Meeting.
I am 76 years old and have served as GOP Chairman for 10 years, which is longer than anyone has ever served.
I wish to thank the other Central Committee members, Republican officeholders/candidates and  my fellow Republicans for their support during the past decade. Together we have changed Evansville/Vanderburgh County to be Republican.
I will remain Vanderburgh GOP Chairman until March 6.
Again thanks for your support.

GOP Party Caucus
Every four years the GOP Party Rules require a Caucus be called to elect the Central Committee officers for the next four years. All Precinct and Vice-Precinct Committeemen will be summoned to attend the Caucus to elect a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.  The Caucus will be held on Saturday, March 6, at Faithway Baptist Church, 3635 Pollack Avenue, Evansville.
Our current Chairman, Wayne Parke, will not be running for another term.  This is a real opportunity for another dedicated Republican to step up and lead the Vanderburgh County Republican Party in maintaining the elected positions currently held  and increasing the positions in the 2022 Elections.
To qualify as a candidate for any of the positions, you must be a Republican in Good Standing.  If you, or someone you know, are interested in being on the ballot, please contact Mary Jo Kaiser at the GOP office – 812-425-8207 – beamerjo59@gmail.com.

Republicans United Against Far Left Democrats
You may have seen that earlier this week Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel asked me to serve as the general counsel of the RNC. It was an honor to be asked and I appreciate the executive committee of the RNC approving my appointment unanimously. I know the RNC looked to Indiana in large part due to the collective success we’ve had as a united party over the last several years. This new opportunity gives Indiana a front row seat in the fight to ensure free, secure and fair elections across the country. I’m looking forward to working with the rest of the RNC leadership team on those issues as well as ensuring we’re fully prepared for the 2022 election cycle. Speaking of…The Biden Administration is off to a horrendous start and we as Republicans need to speak with unity and clarity against this extreme liberal agenda. We keep seeing the same thing over and over and over again from Biden, Pelosi, Schumer and the left. Less than a month into the total Democrat control in Washington, it’s clear the left’s calls of unity were merely lip service for MSNBC soundbites. The truth is, they’re running out the same leftwing playbook they trot out every single time. Increasing taxes, eliminating jobs, weakening our border, attacking energy independence, and so on. Needless to say, we’ve got our work cut out for us heading into 2022 and I know Indiana Republicans, working together, will do our party to wrestle back control.

Thank you,
Kyle

Governor Holcomb’s Week That Was

Building One Indiana for All
This week brought more positive developments on the fight against COVID-19. Governor Holcomb announced that vaccine eligibility has been expanded to now include Hoosiers 65 and over. Governor Holcomb’s leadership has Indiana consistently in the top tier of state vaccinations and broadening the eligibility will help us get through this faster. Visit ourshot.in.gov for more information.
Governor Holcomb also had a chance to visit with his friend, Medal of Honor recipient and 2018 Sachem Awardee Sammy Davis. Sammy’s story of service, courage and sacrifice for our nation and freedom is a true inspiration for all Americans. His heroic actions helped save the lives of his comrades in Vietnam.

Black History Month

Monday marked the start of Black History Month — an important opportunity for us to highlight the incredible achievements and contributions that African Americans have made to better our state and our nation.

Looking back at our Hoosier history books, it’s clear that Indiana would not be the state that it is today without the help of Black Hoosiers who pushed the boundaries, defied the odds, and paved the way forward in business, in sports, in music, and in so much more. Join us in celebrating them by watching this video.

Protecting Hoosier Consumers
Attorney General Todd Rokita is leading a multi-state, bi-partisan action to overturn a federal court decision and ensure state attorney generals can effectively fight robocalls. We’re proud that Attorney General Rokita is at forefront of the fight against robocalls, which are excessively frustrating and can cause financial harm.
“Hoosiers are sick and tired of being harassed by illegal and unwanted robocalls. Just as I promised when I ran for this office, we will stay on the offense in our efforts to protect Indiana consumers.” -Attorney General Todd Rokita

Governor Holcomb’s Statement on $12.5 Million Opioid Settlement
Governor Holcomb provided the following statement regarding the announcement of Indiana’s $12.5 million settlement with McKinsey & Company, resolving investigations into the company’s role in profiting from the opioid epidemic:
“From the first day of my administration, I made combatting the drug epidemic a top priority, and that includes holding accountable those who created and fueled this crisis. I want to thank the Attorney General and his office for their work on this settlement that will help fund prevention, education and treatment efforts. No amount of money can undo the devastating toll inflicted by the opioid epidemic, but this is another step toward helping Hoosier families recover from this national crisis.” -Governor Holcomb
